The Democratic Party of Oregon and the DNC are holding four more regional trainings across the state to train and prepare activists and future leaders with the skills and knowledge to ensure Democratic victories throughout Oregon.

June 2 - Washington County - Plumber's Hall, UA Local 290, 20210 SW Teton Ave., Tualatin
June 9 - Union County - Eastern Oregon University in La Grande
Date TBD - Deschutes County - Central Oregon Community College in Bend
July 22 - Josephine County - Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center

The one-day trainings will include lessons on fundraising, communications, voter targeting technology, volunteer recruitment, precinct organizing and coalition building.

I don't know if any of you attended last weekend's training. I did, both as a trainer and an attendee.

Having been to many, many trainings over the years (and attended a 9 day intensive program on training, training others to train, etc.), I can tell you this was the best I've ever seen. I was extremely impressed by the work that Autumn, Cyreena, Justin, and Jesse did in putting everything together over the past few months. I attended two of Cyreena's trainings and overheard two of Jesse's. I learned a lot.

If you can fit it into your schedule, I highly recommend attending a training. There is something there for everyone, from the new volunteer to the party leader.

With trainings like this, we're going be extremely well prepared for 2008 and beyond.
