A Mult Dem's reply to the President's 6/28 address...
The utterances from the mouth of G. W. Bush in his address to the nation (6/28) were nothing more than the same old tripe... a litany of rosy proposals, future meetings and talk of "cooperative efforts," all intermixed with the everpresent reminders of 9-11.
He regifted the same old packaged bile about the hard work of the good ol' USA and the other "30 nations" trying to bring democracy to Iraq. He presented his usual frantic flag waving prose, full of paltitudes, short on substance, and desparately attempting to conceal the reality of Iraq today.
But his flags have become tattered and the American public is beginning to get a clearer picture of the truth behind the fluttering facade... today's truth, not what George hopes we imagine on the horizon. We see the carnage and devastation that has been wrought upon the nation of Iraq. We see the death and chaos.
