Change of Address

Are you a registered voter in Oregon who has moved, but not changed your address with the county elections office? Because ballots are targeted by the precinct you live in, you must notify the elections office anytime that you move. Even if you have your e-mail forwarded, it will not forward to you -- it's illegal for it to do so. While the registration deadline has passed, it's not too late for you to change your address with the elections office. Current registered voters have until 8 p.m. on Election Day to update their information. To do so, you'll need to fill out a voter registration form, including the bottom portion regarding change of address. Next, you'll take that to the county elections office. Here in Multnomah County it's at 1040 SE Morrison. Their phone number is 503-988-3720. The elections office will verify you are indeed a registered voter, update your address, and issue you a ballot. If you run into any problems during this process, call 503-239-8683, extension 291 or call 1-888-DEM-VOTES.
