Your contribution is especially important this election cycle, as the county party is a key part of the coordinated campaign. In past years, large amounts of money came into the state to run a coordinated campaign, complete with offices around the state and staff. This year, that isn't happening.

The county party now has three full-time staff members, which has been a huge part of the county coordinated campaign. It's your donations that help fund these efforts, purchase food and drinks for the volunteers, print election materials, and more.

Become a Pillar of the Party!

What is it? - The Pillars of the Party Program is a monthly automatic deduction plan, much like union dues or a retirement account. Each month, your bank will automatically transfer a sum of money you choose to the MCDCC to be used to elect Democrats.

Why an automatic deduction? - Some of us want to help, but can't write out that big check. However, we can afford $15, $25 (or more) each month. We're the ones Pillars of the Party is designed for - to give us a larger role in the success of the Democratic Party.

Can I get a tax credit for my contribution? - Absolutely! A donation to the MCDCC qualifies for the Oregon tax credit of $50 per person or $100 per couple, just as any other donation to a candidate or to the Party.

What else will I get? - All Pillars of the Party will receive the MCDCC newsletter and priority seating at the Annual Dick Celsi Dinner, as well as invitations to other party events.

Can I just make donation without signing up to be a pillar of the party? - Absolutely. You can make a simple donation, which qualifies for the Oregon tax credit of $50 per person or $100 per couple in any amount you want over $5.

What if I just want the newsletter mailed to me? - If you just want to receive the monthly newsletter, you can sign up for the basic membership for $20 per year.
