Election of Delegates and Alternates to the Congressional District Committees

The Multnomah County Democratic Party Central Committee will hold our biennial Organizational Meeting at the January 8, 2009, Central Committee Meeting.  Any person who has been registered as a Democrat in Multnomah County for at least 180 days is eligible to stand for any of these positions.  Only those who were elected as Precinct Committee People (PCPs) in the May 2008 Primary Election may cast votes for the Officers; all Multnomah County PCPs (elected or appointed) may vote for SCC and CD delegates.

If you wish to run for any office, or if you would like to nominate an eligible and willing Democrat, please use this online webform.  Alternatively, you may submit your nomination by email or letter or at the Organization Meeting.  Please note: In order for a name to be on the printed ballot, that nomination must be declared 7 days before the Meeting, that is, 7:00 PM, January 1st.  Please review the Bylaws for complete information on the offices, duties and details of the election.

If you have any questions regarding the Election, please contact KC Hanson, Chair, or Susan Silodor, Vice-chair.
