MESD is governed by an elected Board of Directors consisting of seven members. Five members are elected from zones and two are elected at large. The Directors serve four-year terms and are not compensated for their services.

There will be four positions open for election this year.

Position 1 (Far-east Zone): Ken Kissir -- Term Ends 6/09

Position 2 (At-Large): Kevin Spellman -- Term Ends 6/07

Position 3 (Central Portland Zone): Harry Ainsworth, 2006-2007 Vice Chair -- Term ends 6/09

Position 4 (Mid-county Zone): Jean Haliski -- Term Ends 6/09

Position 5 (North/Northeast Portland Zone): Geri Washington -- Term ends 6/07

Position 6 (At-Large): Janice Gratton, 2006-2007 Chair -- Term ends 6/07

Position 7 (SE/SW Portland Zone): Ron Chinn -- Term ends 6/07
