Not on the ballot for PCP? Get elected by write-in!
Precinct Committee People are the life of the Party, REALLY! So, if you didn't file to be elected a PCP, you can still get in on the action by doing a write-in campaign to become an elected Multnomah County Democratic Party precinct representative. YOU can be the voice of andyou’re your community and play a critical role in influencing Democratic Party decision and electing Democrats to govern the way you think we need. How much of a campaign? As few as 3 votes can get you elected!!!
So, you are thinking, "I am ALREADY active, why should I become a PCP, too."
PCPs make important decisions when filling State House and Senate vacancies, and they vote to determine ballot measure endorsements of the Multnomah County Democrats. As a PCP, you are the direct voice for your neighborhood and to your neighborhood; YOU make the communication connection between the Party and the neighborhood.
Our great County is rich in wonderful progressive groups and organizations, but it is the job of the Multnomah County Democrats to be sure that all areas of the County are represented in government by Democrats that can turn those progressive visions that we share into reality. To do that, and to continue to have the statewide impact we do as Oregon's leading Democratic County Party, we need YOU!
... and so what if you're not involved or new in town but really care about the issues facing our communities and nation?
