Thanks for being part of the 2012 Democratic Party!
SO you filed as a PCP in March, the election was last week, and you've not heard anything yet. What gives?
Elections aren't certified until about 3 weeks after the election, and this includes PCPs. June 4 is the certification deadline, and generally, the filed PCP elections will be certified by then (there are nuances of state law in which this timeline will vary slightly, but general rule applies here). Unless you are in one of the few precincts that had more candidates than PCP slots, you will be an elected PCP.
You should will get an official notification following the election from Elections, but you will hear from us prior to that to fill you in on your District organizational meeting, our PCP Welcome party, the first official meeting of the Mult Dems for the new term PCPs, plus a whole lot more.
Here's how you can help us out right now: email us using the email you want the Party to use so we can be sure we have your complete, updated info. (you may remember that the PCP filing form did not contain a slot for your email). In that email, please let us know which House District you are in.
The will facilitate us getting info to you in a rapid, cost effective manner.
Thanks for checking in and stay tuned!
The Regular Monthly Meeting in July is our Annual Picnic

As Chair of the Multnomah County Democrats, a lesbian and a longtime LGBT activist, I am thrilled and proud that our President has taken a firm stand for marriage equality. Especially now, in a political atmosphere that is toxic and sharply divided, President Obama's courage in announcing his support of full equality displays extraordinary statesmanship.
Members of the LGBT community were handed a severe blow from North Carolinians, who yesterday rejected equality and further enshrined discrimination in their state law. Today, our President buoys not only the LGBT community, but all Americans who believe in equal justice and liberty for every American.
KC Hanson, Chair
